Dr. Itihari Y. Toure

Works with Atlanta’s Interdenominational Theological Center as faculty member in the master of arts Religious Education degree program and as director of the Sankofa Center for Data Evaluation and Quality Enhancement.

She is owner/lead consultant of the Sankofa Center for Strategic Planning and Evaluation, currently developing curricula and evaluation designs for the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference, Inc. Toure has worked in the field of education, the black church, and with black women in ministry since 1975.

As an African-centered educator, Toure served as program coordinator for Black Women Ministerial Leadership program for the Office of Black Women in Church and Society. Recent efforts launched “The Souls of Black Girls,” an education and action platform addressing the intersecting realities facing black girls and women.
